Graduate Web Designer job vacancy

We’re looking to add some fresh blood to our design department and are seeking a graduate web designer to join the team.

You’ll be fresh from college or university, you’ll have studied for a career in graphic design, hopefully with ambition to design cutting edge web sites.  You’ll be hungry to bring your creative ideas to bear on some fantastic client brands at our design studio in Witney, near Oxford.

You don’t need to have worked in a web agency before but we are looking for someone who demonstrates the ability to deliver high quality designs for commercial clients.  A strong portfolio of your own design work is essential – please don’t forget to send it to us along with your CV.

Essential skills & experience

The ideal candidate will...

  • Have completed a relevant degree or comparable higher education course in digital design.
  • Have a portfolio of web design work which has been completed as part of your course or in your own time.
  • Have good experience of designing in Adobe Photoshop and experience with Adobe Illustrator would also be an advantage.
  • Have an awareness of HTML/CSS and web standards.
  • Be organised, self-motivated and ambitious with a desire to design creative brand-oriented, yet commercially focussed web sites with a view to beginning a career in web design.

About the role

The role will require you to work on all manner of projects which vary in size from small design changes of a few hours, to large scale design projects of up to a few weeks.

You’ll be working within our small design team and alongside our development and project teams to deliver work for some of our 60+ clients.

It will be a varied role which helps you gain understanding and experience of the full design project lifecycle within a web agency. There will be plenty of opportunities for you to demonstrate your skills, develop as a designer and begin a career in a thriving, ever-changing industry.

Salary

A competitive salary of circa £18-24k which is subject to skills and experience. Please state your salary expectations on application.
