So who do you think the brain boxes of the company are? Who do you think knows their art from their astronomy and technology from their TV?

Well, although we haven’t exactly got any Mensa members here just yet, we thought we all did pretty well in our first ever Ridgeway pub quiz.

Question-master Rachael accepted no-nonsense as she randomly teamed up staff and partners to tackle 52 questions across 5 rounds.  A closely fought contest followed which brought out a competitive edge amongst certain people, although we shall name no names because we are sure that you can guess who they are!

By the time we started the last round it was all to play for as two teams were neck-and-neck and the third were sneaking up and snapping at their heels. As everyone was within touching distance of the winners trophy, it all came down to a very tense last few questions.

So, here is the winning team Dave, Simon C, Harry, Katie & Jess. They took home the trophy but it could not have been closer as they won by just one single point!

Plans for a rematch in 2013 are already underway although that can only happen once we have resolved the debate over the navigators and pilots in Top Gun and what the c stands for in E = MC²
