Shared & dedicated hosting

Every web site or ecommerce solution needs to be hosted on a server so that it can be seen by your customers. Ridgeway provides both shared and dedicated hosting solutions to our clients.

Ridgeway works with two respected UK-based hosting partners to provide hosting services for our clients’ web sites. We operate a co-located service with Fasthosts which provides smaller web solutions with low-cost hosting and medium-level solutions with dedicated servers. High-end dedicated and cloud hosting is provided on Rackspace’s excellent managed services.

In most cases, we also provide web design and support for our hosted clients, but we can also provide Microsoft Windows server hosting to clients who manage their own web site.

Benefit from UK data centres

All of our servers are located in secure UK data centres. They have year round 24/7 hardware support and remote access should you need it. Being based in the UK, your web site will also benefit from increased local search rank for UK searches.

Full backups and management

All of our servers are backed up daily and managed by our in-house team so you can be sure that, in the unlikely event of a problem, your web site is safe. We monitor servers for problems and pro-actively manage them to ensure they remain up to date and secure. All management costs are included in your monthly hosting fee.

Email services and domain management

As well as web site hosting, we can also provide managed email accounts for you and your staff and a domain registration, renewal and management service – all of which are particularly popular with our start-up and SME clients in particular.
